Wow… what a last few months it’s been! Looks like awesome is now replaced by amazing! I can’t say enough about how much we all appreciate the support we get from our fans. When every other email opens with congratulations and AMAZING followed by I WANT ONE NOW in all caps we just keep getting fired up even more as we burn twelve hour days getting the latest design in everyone’s eager hands. Our YouTube views are at 60,000 views a DAY!

So here’s what’s happening:

We have raised $1.2 million of our first $1.3 series “A” financing. That means we need just $100K more to close this round and move into our new digs in Portland OR. We can only accept investments from people that have a net worth of $1million or more. See our investor relations tab.

We are continuing on a path with the limited funds we have to have early samples of the RYNO UEV (Unidentified Electric Vehicle) shipping by late April 2013 just in time for summer. Full production will be ramping up later in 2013.

The new UEV will be designed to look more like the original bike in all our videos. The red show bike on the web site was designed to be a street legal version but since then we have moved back onto the sidewalk and bike paths we need a lighter weight and more crowd friendly look. Plus it allows us to pack 4 HP of brute power into the wheel since we don’t have to meet the limitations to get on the street as a scooter or eBike.

We have doubled the battery capacity to 24 amp hours and will double it again later in 2013 as we get our cutting edge battery supplier on-line. The bike will have twin pull out batteries to allow them to be changed in thirty seconds and carried easily. Top speed is limited to 12.5 MPH, range may be about 25 miles. Trust me with 2,000 watts of motor power, this thing will climb a wall.

If you’re a dealer we’ll be looking to align with just five to ten dealers in the U.S. this coming 2013. After we get our U.S. distribution in place and have our service and support network running we plan to roll a competitive dealer program out on a global scale. So for now if you’re a dealer, send us an email, tell us about yourself and we’ll keep you in our dealer data base until our RYNO dealer relations manager can prioritize them and get back to you.

For customers, we get flooded with people that want to offer pre-order down payments to get in line or be the first in their geographic area to own a RYNO. As a policy we have not done this simply because it puts too much pressure on our development team (many prototypes later) and it creates too much email traffic. Just selling Tee Shirts has upped the email traffic in the last few months. I hope you can all understand our position. As we get closer to production we’ll start posting the names of dealers across the country, you will then be able to go to them to work-out a way to get on a list.

Remember, we are just a few guys right now, when I sit in front of my computer it’s like a shoot-em-up video game the way the email just comes flooding in. I used to answer every email but right now I’d just like to say we are here and we save every single email in our data base.

Thank you everyone for all the support and appreciation. For a company that has never sent out a single press release it just amazes me how much everyone totally gets what we’re doing and how personal each person’s experience is with the what this product means to them.

A great story teller told me once when I asked what makes a great emotionally packed tale. He simply said “never tell people how to feel… create tension, intrigue and drama and let them overly what it means to them”. For some reason, riding on a single wheel with the sum of human kind’s technology imbedded in the wheel is like a story that people ride, with all the same thrills, as they develop their own unique emotional connection to it.

My commitment is to stay on this path and deliver that vision to every one of our customers. You have no idea what it has taken and focus it has required to keep this product in the game. The thing that keeps us all going is the feeling that comes over every customer when they ride the bike for the first time and after five minutes get to that place where their whole body relaxes and then that effervescent grin comes on, followed by the mischievous stare.
